Welcome to Monado. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Monado mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Monado (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

By downloading, accessing, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

Service Description

Monado is a digital journaling application that allows you to:

Create and store personal journal entries
Generate illustrated picture books from your journal content using AI
Organize and access your memories and thoughts
Sync your content across multiple devices (Premium feature)

User Accounts and Eligibility

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Monado. Users under 18 must have parental consent.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Subscription and Payment Terms

Premium Subscription

Monado offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions:

Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly at the current rate
Annual Subscription: Billed annually at the current rate
Free Trial: May be offered for new subscribers

Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your App Store account settings
No refunds are provided for unused portions of the subscription period

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect at your next renewal cycle.

User Content and Ownership

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in Monado
You grant us a limited license to process your content to provide our services
You are responsible for the legality and appropriateness of your content
We do not claim ownership of your journal entries or personal content

Prohibited Uses

You may not use Monado to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
Create or store illegal, harmful, or offensive content
Attempt to hack, compromise, or disrupt our services
Use the service for commercial purposes without authorization
Share account credentials with others

Intellectual Property Rights

Monado’s software, design, and features are protected by intellectual property laws
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer our application
Our trademarks and logos may not be used without written permission
AI-generated illustrations remain your content, subject to our processing rights

Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to:

Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service
Update these Terms with advance notification
Suspend accounts that violate these Terms

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service Disclaimer

Monado is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, secure, or always available.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any damages is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
Upon termination, your access to premium features will end
You may export your content before account deletion

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of [Arbitration Organization].
